Spaceid renewals

An existing domain registration on SPACE ID can be extended while active or within the documented 90-day grace period after expiry. During that post-expiry window, the name is reserved for its previous registrant to renew.

Extending an Existing Registration

To renew an eligible registration, open the domain information page on SPACE ID and select "Extend".

Expiry, Resolution, and Public Registration

An expired domain no longer resolves to its former wallet address under the behavior described in the Web3 Domain Snap knowledge base. The grace period preserves the previous registrant's exclusive opportunity to renew during this expired state.

After the grace period ends, the name becomes available for public registration. If someone else registers it, the name resolves to the new registered address. Recheck the resolved address before sending assets using a domain name.

Renewal Eligibility After 46 Days

The previous registrant can still renew in this hypothetical case: a domain covered by the documented 90-day grace rule expired exactly 46 days ago. The remaining reservation is 90 - 46 = 44 days.

Those 44 days remain available for renewal even though expiry has already stopped the name-to-address resolution described in the Snap knowledge base. Increasing the hypothetical elapsed time reduces the remaining renewal window by the same amount.
